Allegro’s Business Broadband is designed to deliver very high speeds at affordable prices. We use next generation technologies, delivering speeds and quality usually reserved for big companies. Business Broadband offers symmetric broadband at speeds from 1 Mbps up to 10 Mbps at rates less then what others charge for slower connections.

Unlike ADSL services offered by other service providers, where upload speeds are much slower than download speeds, Allegro’s service is full duplex, providing the same upload and download speeds for maximum performance. This is critical for optimal performance when using today’s online business applications.

Note that you’ll see references to ‘Standard’ and ‘Smart Building’ on the form. If Allegro has equipment installed and is already providing services to businesses at your site most likely you’re in a ‘Smart Building’. Otherwise ‘Standard’ options will apply to you. It’s as simple as that!

All services are provided using Powertel/Request DSL Services Installation fee DOES NOT include ADSL Modem. (Modem can be purchased at additional cost) Installation may take up to 21 working days. A single static public IP address is supplied with each connection. The customer is responsible for all data delivered to the address(es) allocated to them. Data rate may be restriced if the user's consumption exceeds 50GB per month Allegro recommends that a firewall appliance is installed between your network, and the public internet. Allegro's supports only a single PC connected to the ADSL service. As such, responsibility for connection to the customer network, maintenance and installation of firewalls, modems and other customer owned devices lies entirely with the customer.

Australia wide coverage using ADSL, G.SHDSL or SDSL is provided through our partnership with Powertel. Premium services offer high reliability, competitive pricing and symmetrical data rates up to 2 Mbps. All services are provided with a configured Cisco 800 series router. All services are provided using high-end proprietory microwave systems with a 99.8% uptime SLA. All installations are subject to a site survey Installation may take up to 21 working days. A single static public IP address is supplied with each connection. The customer is responsible for all data delivered to the address(es) allocated to them. Only data between Allegro and the customer is metered. Allegro recommends that a firewall appliance is installed between your network, and the public internet. Allegro's declared network boundary is the ethernet port on the receiver supplied at the clients premesis. As such, responsibility for connection to the customer network, maintenance and installation of firewalls, modems and other customer owned devices lies entirely with the customer.

What is a Smart Building?

Allegro’s Smart Building solution offers participating commercial buildings, shopping centres and business parks the next generation of high speed broadband. Allegro has connected a network of Smart Buildings to its high speed fixed wireless network. Offices, shops and factories in an Allegro Smart Building can connect to 1mbps and 2mbps symmetric broadband, bursting to 8mbps, at rates less than what others charge for slower connections. “Bursting” means you get the higher rate when transacting online and downloading small files.

Unlike ADSL services offered by other service providers, where upload speeds are much slower than download speeds, Allegro’s Smart Building broadband offers full duplex, providing the same upload and download speed for maximum performance. This is critical for today’s online business applications and for optimal productivity. Allegro’s Smart Buildings employ WiMAX ready wireless technologies to connect buildings and industry leading VDSL (Very High Speed DSL, much faster than ADSL) or ethernet solutions in-building.

The service enjoys guaranteed 99.9% service levels and contention ratios of 20:1 or less. Only available in specific buildings. An installation fee of $149.00 + GST ($163.90 GST inc) on a 12 month contract, $99.00 + GST ($108.90 GST inc) on a 24 month contract. Installation within coverage area guaranteed within 5 business days. Professional installation charge of $80 inc GST applies if a site visit is required to install the service. Only data between Allegro and the customer is metered. All data in excess of plan quota will be charged at $0.09/MB + GST. A fair use policy exists. Users using excessive data (more than 50GB) may have their usage restricted during periods of high usage.
